Education and Technology Benefit our Dental Patients By Ann R. Sielicki, DDS on January 12, 2017

Inner and outer layers of a toothIt takes a lot of trust to put the health, strength, and beauty of your smile in the hands of a dental professional. Dr. Ann Sielicki does not take that trust lightly. As an experienced dentist, Dr. Ann Sielicki has helped countless patients achieve their personal dental goals. When under her care, she wants each of her patients to feel confident knowing they are receiving the highest quality of dental care available. That is why Dr. Sielicki’s commitment to continuing education (CE) and technology at her Scottsdale, AZ practice is so strong. By continuing to educate herself on the latest dental practices and technologies, and by implementing them at her dental office, she can ensure that patients are receiving the best in dental care.

Continuing Education

Dentistry is a field that is continually evolving and improving. As new techniques and technologies are discovered, the quality of dental care gets better. Dr. Sielicki believes that it is important to stay informed of these changes through continual education. No matter how experienced dentists may be, they should never stop learning. It is only through continual education that dentists can build upon their knowledge and skill.

It is this belief that drives Dr. Sielicki in her continued pursuit of education. While the dental board requires a minimum of 76 hours of continual education every three years, at Sonoran Dental Design, our team has hundreds of hours of CE. Dr. Sielicki is an active participant in Spear’s advanced continuum, a national educational organization created specifically for dentists and their office team. She is a member of the Spear’s faculty club, and attends monthly study club meetings. This involvement allows her to continually learn and enhance the services she provides to dental clients.

Advanced Technology

Technology plays an important role in the dental field. Dr. Sielicki believes that, if there is a technology that will be advantageous to her patients, she should be using it. Her dedication to continual education allows her to stay informed of all of the latest dental technologies. She implements these technologies at her practice to ensure that patients are receiving the most advanced dental care.

Some of the technologies that are used at Sonoran Dental Design include the following:

  • The CEREC machine, which allows for same-day restorations
  • The VELscope® detection system to screen for oral cancer
  • The CariFree® risk assessment system, which evaluates pH levels and checks for the presence of bacteria and decay
  • The DentalVibe® vibration tool to make anesthetic injections more comfortable
  • The Isolite mouthpiece, which takes pressure off the jaw and improves comfort during prolonged dental treatments

These are just some of the technologies that make dental care more effective and comfortable for our patients.
