A bright smile can make a priceless first impression, but so many foods and beverages we love can cause stains and tooth discoloration.
KöR® teeth whitening combines at-home trays and in-office bleaching to achieve high-quality cosmetic results.
Come see Dr. Ann Sielicki in Scottsdale, AZ, if you want whiter teeth and a boost in your self-confidence.
We Use KöR Teeth Whitening
Sonoran Dental Design exclusively uses the KöR teeth whitening system. Dr. Ann Sielicki describes KöR as one of the best teeth whitening products she has used since she began practicing dentistry in 1995. Unlike many professional teeth whitening treatments, KöR involves no lights or lasers, making it highly effective and extremely comfortable.
Hydrogen peroxide is the active ingredient in KöR whitening products. The formula can eliminate hypocalcified stains, tetracycline stains (the toughest of all dental stains), and deep yellow discoloration, as well as more common stains on the surface of the teeth. Periodic bleaching can maintain your results, allowing you to enjoy a dazzling smile for decades.
How Does KöR Teeth Whitening Work? A Smile Upgrade in Two Steps
KöR whitening combines at-home and in-office bleaching.
The At-Home Stage
During the first phase of treatment, patients apply an advanced hydrogen peroxide-based bleaching agent to their teeth every day for two weeks. Dr. Sielicki will provide custom dental trays designed to achieve a precise fit and evenly administer the whitening gel. KöR involves using a bleaching agent that is continually refrigerated to preserve its potency, ensuring consistent results.
The In-Office Stage
Once patients complete the at-home stage, Dr. Sielicki performs an in-office whitening treatment that lasts 60-90 minutes. Dr. Sielicki can control the amount and strength of the whitening product used, ensuring the patient is comfortable and the most desirable results are achieved. You can relax during treatment knowing that your smile is being enhanced by a professional.
Do You Want a Brighter, Whiter Smile? Contact Sonoran Dental Design
Over-the-counter whitening strips and whitening toothpaste can only do so much. For more dramatic whitening results, it's best to seek professional care supervised by a dentist. Dr. Sielicki is here to help.
You can achieve excellent cosmetic dentistry results with the two-stage process involved in the KöR teeth whitening system. With regular touchups and visits to the dentist, your enhanced smile can last for years.

The Cost of Teeth Whitening Treatment
Teeth whitening with the KöR system at our Scottsdale office can cost from $599 to $1,500. This is an investment in your smile that can actually save you money in the long run. Whitening strips and toothpaste provide uneven results that fade quickly, but the KöR whitening system is precise, effective, and easy to touch up as needed. Money that would otherwise be spent on lackluster whitening toothpaste or strips can instead go toward a professional treatment that lasts.
Flexible Financing for Teeth Whitening Makes Cost-Effective Treatment Even More Affordable
Because teeth whitening is a purely cosmetic procedure, it isn't covered by dental insurance. However, we don't want costs to be a barrier between you and the smile you want, so we accept financing through CareCredit®. You can take advantage of a low or no interest loan repayable in affordable monthly installments.
Still concerned about affordability? You should know that teeth whitening is one of the most inexpensive cosmetic dentistry treatments available. It can give you beautiful results like veneers or crowns can, but at a much lower cost.

Whitening vs. Bleaching What's the Difference?
Many dentists use the terms “whitening” and “bleaching” interchangeably, but there is a distinction.
"Whitening" describes treatments that restore the natural color of the teeth. This includes whitening toothpaste and over-the-counter strips.
"Bleaching" refers to treatments that whiten the natural color of teeth. These products contain a bleaching agent, such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.
During your consultation at Sonoran Dental Design, we can discuss bleaching options as well as other cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as bonding and veneers. We're ready to help you enhance your smile.

Teeth Whitening FAQ
How often will I need a retouch?
The results from KöR whitening can last for many months, but no whitening treatment is permanent. We generally recommend you use your at-home trays once a month to “touch up” your results. You can schedule in-office whitening treatments annually or as needed.
How can I maintain my white teeth after treatment?
The best thing you can do to maintain your newly brightened smile is to brush and floss daily, and stay away from stain-causing foods and beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, wine, colas, curry, tomato sauce, berries). Also, you should not smoke or use tobacco products.
Does teeth whitening damage my enamel?
No, professional teeth whitening will not damage your enamel. We use safe bleaching products that penetrate the enamel to break up stains and discoloration without harming the tooth structure.
Does treatment hurt?
Many teeth whitening systems cause tooth sensitivity before and after treatment. KöR is different. It uses a desensitizer to combat sensitivity before it arises. The KöR desensitizer blocks the openings of the dental channels underneath tooth enamel (called dentinal tubules). Patients can whiten their teeth comfortably and virtually pain-free.
If I have dental implants or hardware, can I still whiten my teeth?
Dental implants and other restorations like bridges, crowns, and veneers will not respond to teeth whitening treatment. To avoid uneven or spotty results, you should consult Dr. Sielicki about your options. She may customize your teeth whitening treatment to match your existing restorations or suggest replacing your restorations to match your brighter tooth color after your whitening treatment.
