Orthodontics

Orthodontics General Dentistry Scottsdale AZCrooked teeth can make you feel self-conscious and increase your risks for other issues, such as decay and gum disease. We offer subtle, state-of-the-art Invisalign® treatment to straighten your smile. Invisalign® consists of a set of transparent plastic aligners that gradually shift your teeth into proper position. If you opt for Invisalign®, we will simply provide you with a new custom-made aligner every two weeks until you achieve your desired smile. Many patients prefer Invisalign® to traditional bracket and wire braces because they are discreet and removable, allowing you to simply take them out for eating and daily hygiene. The average treatment time for Invisalign® is just one year, although it will vary based on your particular case.

Extractions

Extractions General Dentistry Scottsdale AZTeeth that become damaged by severe decay, advanced periodontal disease, traumatic injury, or other issues may require extraction to preserve your oral health. Dr. Sielicki can safely, effectively remove diseased teeth to help you maintain your smile. If necessary, we can also replace lost teeth using dental implants. In addition to regular extractions, our dentist can remove non-impacted wisdom teeth. If your third molars are erupting at an angle, we will refer you to an oral surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.

Sleep Apnea Therapy

Sleep Apnea Therapy Scottsdale AZMillions of people suffer from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a condition in which a narrow or collapsed airway prevents sufficient air from reaching your lungs. If your body lacks adequate oxygen, it may startle you awake so you can breathe properly. This is called an apnea, and patients can suffer from dozens or even hundreds of them every night without even realizing it. Sleep apnea can cause headaches, snoring, persistent exhaustion, and insomnia. This condition can also lead to stroke, hypertension, liver problems, or even death if left untreated. Fortunately, many patients can find relief with oral appliances, devices that keep the jaw in proper position and the airways open during sleep.

Occlusal Guards

Occlusal Guards General Dentistry ScottsdaleTightness and tension in your jaw can create a variety of uncomfortable symptoms, including headaches, muscle soreness, and unexplained toothache. Bruxism occurs when you clench your teeth together, grinding them down over time. This condition can also contribute to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. This causes the cushions in the jaw joint, which spans from the temple to the lower jaw, to become stretched, damaged, or misaligned. If you suffer from bruxism, TMJ, or both, Dr. Sielicki can provide occlusal guards to alleviate your symptoms. These are custom-made plastic appliances that hold your teeth and jaw in a more comfortable position and prevent dental damage.

Technology

General Dentistry technology ScottsdaleDr. Sielicki is dedicated to using some of the latest technologies to preserve and enhance our patients’ oral health. We can utilize the CariFree Caries Risk Assessment system to evaluate and improve your oral pH. We frequently test patients’ saliva with the OralDNA system to assess their risks for gum disease, oral cancer, and other conditions. During procedures, our dentist can use the DentalVibe® vibration tool to stimulate your gum tissue and make local anesthetic injections more comfortable. In addition, our Onset® by Onpharma injection formula improves the pH of local anesthesia injections and allows the medication to take effect more quickly. Our Isolite mouthpiece also takes strain and pressure off of your jaw during treatment to keep you comfortable and make procedures more efficient. Once you no longer require local anesthesia, we can use OraVerse injections to swiftly and effectively reverse it so you don’t have to deal with prolonged numbness. Dr. Sielicki also performs annual oral cancer screenings using our fluorescent VELscope® tool. Lastly, we manufacture same-day restorations in the office with our state-of-the-art CEREC® computer-assisted design and milling system.
